An EVENTFUL session with the McDaniel's at the farm!

Had a VERY eventful shoot on Tuesday.  I met with a sweet family of 4 kids that I've photographed before at a local family farm.  We started in the small stable with 4 stalls to try to coerce their grandmother's horse into a few pics!

"Jackson" wasn't feeling very photogenic, so we perched the kids on the stall opening and hoped jackson would emerge his head for some of the shots.  After ONLY 12 minutes into the shoot, THUNDER erupted...a girl in the pasture got thrown off her horse and her mom came running for ice.  PRAise God she was OK, but her mom fell in gravel trying to help her.  I took off running and left the mom of 4 (18 mo--12 yr old) with her kids perched on the stall door, to try to find ice with my camera dangling.  THEN, the sky opened up and POURED.  While we were "safely" in a small stable the size of a one-car garage, opened on both sides as rain was flying in from all directions, the water level of the ground outside begins to rise.  Within minutes we were all standing on ~ 2 inches of water.  We all waded through water ~ 1 ft high to reach our respective cars SOAKING WET.  The poor cowgirl closed the door of her mom's Suburban, only to realize that her boots were COMPLETELY filled with water!

Making the most of being stuck--before the water came flooding in!

A little shaky--holding camera with flash while also holding the external flash system up from the water!

A lovely July wedding with the Ilana & Kyle!  The ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lilburn, Ga and the reception was in the elegant, Eleven 15 Events of Suwanee.

Ellen + Ellis: Peachtree City in July

We shared a wonderful day with the Super & Thomas families on July 14, 2012 in Peachtree City.  The day was beautiful (albeit, hot, but what do you expect for July in Georgia?)!

I loved this shot!  My second shooter, Amber Lopez, brought this frame and wanted to have the mothers hold it.  After that shot, I brought the dads in and asked them to embrace their wives and give them a kiss--I love the story here:

It's a story of how 2 people created someone in love who then found someone to love and the 2 began their own story!

Atlanta's Band of Gold smoked the dancefloor the whole night, but the last dance/finale was Journey's "Faithfully."  It was amazing! and the guests surrounded this couple in love, singing and swaying.

Cydni's Pin-up Maternity session at the WATERFALL

I had  the sweet opportunity to photograph this great couple on their wedding day a few years back and now will document their journey becoming parents and their sweet baby girl's first year of life here!

In this shot, we used the penant banner her friends made for her baby shower with the name of their baby girl imprinted on it!

This one makes me laugh to see the enlarged shadow of the dog's tongue on the momma's belly!

I wrote the baby's name on the bootm of her boots in this one!

Love the expression on the dog's face!  She doesn't look thrilled at the news of becoming a BIG sister, does she?

Is she gorgeous, or what?!

I think the backlighting is beautiful in this one and love how the wife is stretching the get closer to her man.

Cue the wind!

Peaceful meditation on the growing life/miracle within.

The water was cold, but Cydni braved it just fine and was sooo willing to anything I suggested!!! I LOVE that kind of attitude!

The sun caught her ice-blue eyes beautifully!

Sweet love made this baby and you can see it here.

This was a last minute shot, literally!!! We were walking back to our respective cars when I noticed the harsh shadows.  I got this idea on the spot!
